Just before 6 p.m. Sunday, May 15, someone called 911 reporting a threat against the members of the JCC of the Greater Five Towns on Central Avenue in Lawrence, according to Nassau County Police.

Officers conducted a “thorough and systematic search” of the building, but found no indication the threat was credible, police said.

The building was deemed safe and reopened a short time later.

So far investigators have not made an arrest.
